Anyone here play DoD?

I saw the Call Of Duty Thread so I figure I'd make this.

I've been an Admin on www.kustomkettle.com for a few years now, great site for Custom maps. :D

I've been playing DoD from day one of it's release, and waiting for Source, any month now.... :rolleyes:

I'm getting back to my rifle days I kinda quit the Rifle a year back but fell back in love with it, the New VAC system is working nice for us , I don't have to kick many peeps anymore, it takes care of it for me. :)

I play it now and then. The delay of DoD:Source has kinda lowered my interest in it so right now I'm mainly playing BF2 and CoD. When the 1944 alpha comes, I think that it will take over though :D

dod is a great game for team work, just have to be on the right server with the right guys (ie <SaF> guys:P)

<SaF> Stand and Fight. we are a nice bunch of blokes & kids, we got some of the 'younger' ppl in the clan. the youngest is 15 (me) & the oldest is 40 (my dad). we are based in the UK & have members & regulars in all diffrent countrys. we like to have a laugh, play the game as & team & get shot, die for the cause :D .

our server was a very popular UK server, till about 1month 1/2 ago when unfortunatly. everybody in the clan got busy with other things like exams, that sort of stuff. our regulars still active on our forums but didnt find time to play on our server. a few days ago WarServers went bust & our server got shut down, so <SaF> have no more server :(

but we arent dead, nope not yet. were thinkin of what will happen to the clan next. we may become a multi gaming clan, but were still deciding what games we will be kickin ass on (or getting our asses kicked on :p )

I second what Soap says, in DoD, we die a lot, however, killing sprees don't win DoD matches. Our tactics are to complete our objectives no matter what, even if it ends up one of us basically commiting suicide by running out into the open to be cut up by a machine gun when a guy with a rifle (Probably <SaF>Law) plugs him right between the eyes. Class moment.

Yes, we currently are down, but I assure you, the clan has nowhere else to go but up.

Haha, you might have to wait a bit fir DoD:S, it's becoming a very bad joke nowadays :( The thing that bugs me that they barely release any information on the game. But right now there are plenty of other games to play :)

I used to play the retail version of DoD, but then they came out with a patch,and I couldn't play anymore(damn 56k). It's really a shame, I loved to play DoD.:(

Yes the wait goes on but there is always BF2 (BLASPHEMY!!)...but yes I do play it. Also SaF will be up and running soon (I hope....need to do some clan game killing).

Ive prob been on Kustom Kettle at some point but Ive been hanging around Band of Beavers for a bit to calm my nerves during the wait for Source (does it really exist?....who knows).

I used to play DoD alot, I believe I've started playing around 2.0 with just bots(was 56k at that time) and began playing seriously online with 3.0 and 3.1, had some great times there. But I was getting sick and tired of the arcadish gameplay around DOD steam 1.0 and then I started to get interest in TTR (ut99 mod) I have been playing that for more then a year and it slowly died with now and then a lil sign of life..

And now I am here ;)

To my knowledge, "witch isn't much" you only have to pay $10.00 for DoD-S when you buy Bronze. :o
