I'm going to get it. It has both Armageddon and Doomsday, neither of which I've been able to track down here in the States. Maybe we can finally get that massive MP game up that we always wanted.

Is it possible to purchase only the expansion? I mean I already have the first game...its also good enough if theres an ability to gift the main game on steam.

I bought Take Command 2nd Manasses from gamersgate. They're good at what they do. But, I bought HOI2 complete for 15$ on amazon. Not worth it on steam. I'd rather wait 3 days to save 5$.

I second that. I hear they've completely re-done how land battles/naval battles are fought, but I can't confirm that. Just a rumor...

They have. I have been keeping up with the weekly dev diaries and they are pretty much overhauling everything. For example, naval battles have been reworked completely. CV's and CAG's are now seperate, for instance, and CAG's can be used against land targets. Because of this, CV's are - directly - crap in combat and rely on the CAG's entirely.

It would also seem that all the major complaints with HoI2 have been looked at and fixed. The issue of air support is fixed so that you can choose whether an air mission is either regional or in a specific province, allowing you to easily provide fighter cover over a large area whilst making sure your ground attack aircraft are actually aiding your forces in the correct province.
