Hi, does anyone else here have Call of Duty 2? I finished it today, and I really liked the campaign, but the Multiplayer isn't that great....

have to agree. SP is simply awesome, but MP is lacking in several areas. seriously needs a good realism mod.

i want to get it.. can somebody please tell me do you play as the americans, brits & russians again? or have they added a german campaign?
i also heard that you can start an "instant battle" where you just jump into the action is that any good?

The game looks very good to me, but you know it still sucks it doesn't have a (decent) physics engine.
I do love the detail though, like strings come out your sleeves, etc.
It seem to have very good hiding spots too...

I'm working on an alternate history mod where you play the Germans, pushing the Brits back to the Suez Canal, capturing Moscow, and invading Britain(where you fight through Kent, Aberdeen, and the Severn River).
Other than backstory and some model swapping, there's really no difference from the actual game.

I think an Africa Korps mod would be really good. The campaign that i most enjoyed was teh British one, becuase it was in a different enviroment in the Western Desert. The Russian campaign is only ever in Stalingrad on all CoD's so that was not amazing, teh American campaign explored a whole ne section of D-Day as the Rangers landing on Point-du-Hoc, but it was still repetetive normandy. But overall the game is a great one, and I would recomend it.

The US campaign was only in Normandy for 1 of the 3 missions.

Just got CoD 2 earlier today.
Starting off with the Single-Player, like CoD, the atmosphere is amazing. The sounds, graphics, effects all lead to an engrossing experience. At one point in the Russian missions, an order was giving to charge and the music changed, my comrades screaming and running at the enemy. Damn, it can't be seen in any other FPS game. If your looking for a great Single-Player experience, that doesn't depend on high realism, CoD 2 is definately for you.
Regarding Multi-Player, it really hasn't changed much from the original CoD, which isn't a bad thing, as the CoD MP was both addictive and fun. With CoD 2, the action is far greater, and definately more fun.
This game is class. Definately worth the money.

I bought it about 4 hours ago. And 'scuse the language, but I am fucking furious. It keeps telling me my CD key is already in use. As a consequence, I can't play the multiplayer.
Yeah, the single player is good. But I am bloody angry right now.

It is an amazing game ;)
Dave, I think someone stole your CD key, it seems that some have been leaked and people are using clown costumes and rubber gloves to steal them. Your best bet is to return the game to the shop and tell them what's wrong.

Yah, I'll march on down to EB games, and demand a refund. Then get my ass kicked out of the store.
... Worth a shot I spose.

CoD2 isn't a sequel to CoD:UO, it's a sequel to CoD1, thats why there are no vehicles. Oh and UO was made by gray matter, not infinity ward, like CoD1.

The American campaign is now my favourite, I love defending Point-du-Hoc.
the Multiplayer uis great once you get into it. the only map that I hate is Villiers-Bocage.

Good game, as others have said the atmosphere can't be beat. I've beaten the single player, yet to try multi player.
