As German Wehrmacht/SS uniforms arent that colour....its all been derived off BoB whereby they used Swedish Conversions (Swedish 1940's tunics that are different to the German ones in colour...converted to look like the cut of a German uniform - but the colour still being wrong).

Stitching, inside lining, belt hooks, and basically overall quality of the uniform would be the only difference between a swede conversion, and a real tunic. It's very well possible make a swedish conversion with the correct feldgrau color.

The tunics in BOB are indeed swedish conversions. But they are the correct color. The only look mausgrau because 60% of the color has been removed from the film in post production. Unless you happen to look at the German tunics from BOB for close inspection, you wouldn't notice the difference.

I have done my homework since we last spoken.

Lets move this topic of conversation over to the history section please lads, then I can delete these here and let the "sig" thread continue. :)

You should be able to with Civilian status
Just open up your User Control Panel > Edit Signature (under Settings & Options). Upload a fantastic but small (both in dimensions and size) image onto your favourite image hosting server. Copy the image url, paste, save, voila. And shove a esoteric quote in as well to make you seem intelligent and deep—I'm not so that's why there's none in mine. :)

They're pretty easy to make. Just a collection of images which have been cut out and fiddled with to make them blend in. Then give shadows to objects that are pretty big. Hey presto! Here's one I made earlier! (end art attack jibberish) :D

Those are my three sigs that I've been using forever.. I know they are bad lol I just never get around to making new ones. If I recall a while back when I used to go on a lot of forums I had some pretty nice ones.. but not anymore. :p Oh and the hammer and sickle in the top one is an inside joke with people on a different forum.. however I forgot to save the .psd when making it so I can't get rid of it for other forums.:D

Lmao, I don't know, I'm a noob to Fireworks, or sig making, I just got the B/W picture, and used magic wand and colourised all the different parts, slightly different tones of a khaki like colour.

Wow, Thanks, I might start making a different one. I was inspired by a bit of work that was done like a year ago, on the forums, and was a sherman, with the water sealed exhaust going up the D-Day beaches, with troops all around it, but, I think it has been deleted from the forums. I found it by chance when I was looking at people who's birthday it was, and it looked as if something similar had been done to that, and so, tried myself :D

I imagine it's similar to Photoshop since they're both by the same publisher. You could try the programs documentation (http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/fireworks/).;)

Sorry Rigarmortiz, but those sigs are way too tall, try using ~150 px in height, that's really the ideal size if you want a tall sig. :-) It's also bit of a nuisance when people are reading threads.

They never said they'd be going for realism. That was just made up by fanboys. Relic said in an interview that if they had to choose between realism and fun, they chose fun, because that's the way they wanted the game to turn out. That's just a heavy machine gun team. They all look the same. The germans are Sturmtruppen, so they are more likely to be SA, I think.

Another reason not to learn history from movies and games.
The SA were paramilitary working-class thugs and were eventually marginalised after "the night of the long knives" when their leader was assassinated. They did form a regiment iirc and saw fighting throughout the war.

Just use a transparent layer instead of having a background color at all. Then you can use it on any forums.

You could try saving as a gifor tiff which also can contain an alpha channel. All you need to do is paste the original image into the alpha channel then invert it. Gif's are compressed and optimised for the web.

Host it in your personal webspace if you have it.
