Anyone planning on going to see Jarhead (http://www.jarheadmovie.com)? It comes out next week. It's the adaptation of a Marine snipers memoirs, follows him from basic training to his being in a Scout/sniper platoon in Iraq.


Swoff and his fellow Marines sustain themselves with sardonic humanity and wicked comedy on blazing desert fields in a country they don't understand against an enemy they can't see for a cause they don't fully fathom.

It's directed by sam Mendes, so it should be good.

Havent heard of this......would this be one of those movies which comes out in America about 4 months before anyone in Europe hears of it? :confused:

It says released date is January for Australia, Europe is still TBA.

Movie takes place around 90/91 during ODS.

All the reviews ive seen from former marines says its a load of crap

Seeing the kid from Donnie Darko as a scout sniper just doesnt do it for me

Its based off the Desert Storm/Shield Conflict. So, Iraq/Kuwait.
