In my free time, I like to listen to the tortured screams of the demented souls that are residing in the fiery depths of hell.

Hey, why are looking at me that way? Don't judge me!

Forget the new, listen to the old.

Billy Idol, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Aerosmith, etc.

Aussie Hip Hop.
Don't knock it 'til you've heard it either. And don't group it with that 50 cent/Eminem mainstream hip hop. This is nothing like it at all. Assume nothing.
Aussie hip hop usually fits in to one of these categories
1) Political (such as The Herd, Combat Wombat, Curse ov Dialect, Urthboy...)
2) "Cause we're musicians" (Hilltop Hoods, TZU, Resin Dogs, Syllabolix, Downsyde...)
3) Hilarious (2-up, bLuejuice, Muph + Plutonic (although, they also fit into category number 2...), Butterfingers (they're Hip Hop/Rock. Very cool though), Matty B...)
If you're wanting to hear some of it, here's some stuff I'd recommend. All available for download from the home page of the artists - So this is legal. :)
Hilltop Hoods - Soul of the beat (http://www.hilltophoods.com/mp3/hth_the_soul.mp3) - One of my favourite songs. I love the riff at the start.
The Herd - Starship Troopers (http://svc002.bne102dv.server-web.com/gallery/mp3/Ozi%20Batla-Starship_Troopers.mp3) - Another of my faves. Song about war.
Downsyde - El Questro (http://www.downsyde.com.au/downloads/Downsyde-ElQuestro.zip) - Just a good song to nod your head to. Always good to blast on the train home... Just to drown out the imbeciles.
Muph + Plutonic - Heaps good (http://www.obeserecords.com/music/muph_heapsgood.mp3) - Funny song. "You couldn't get props from a drama teacher".

Enjoy.

I don't reckon you're into Country music. If you're a closet listener, get anything by Toby Keith or Trace Adkins. You can't go wrong there.

What's with all the christians thinking hell is such a bad place?
Anyhow, I've been listening to Mayhem's DMDS and Live in Leipzig quite a lot. Not that any of you would know what kind of band I'm talking about.

A wide varity... At the moment mostly jazz (Tom Waits, Hans Ulrik, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Norah Jones, Katie Melua). Else than that I mostly listen to rock (Tom Petty, Poul Halberg, REM, Subsoil, Kashmir Greenday).

As a Dane I would like to recommend the following Danish bands/solists:

DAD (formely known as Disneyland After Dark) http://www.dad.dk/
Kashmir http://www.kashmir.dk/
Tim Christensen http://www.timchristensen.dk/
Subsoil (local band from my home town, much inspired by Muse) http://www.subsoil.dk/

Then of course I listen to the music I play with my own band... which is mostly hard rock mixed with some jazz and country parts...

My favourite band is U2, went to see them for the first time earlier this year, damn they are amazing.

Listen to stuff like Whos Gonna Ride your Wild Horses, Where the streets have no name, I will Follow, Pride, All Because of You, Beautiful Day, and any other song from them and you can't say anything bad about their talents.

Fantastic band.

Apart from U2 I listen to Snow Patrol (Run is a great song), Foo Fighters (In your Honour, or "Honor", as the Americans call it) Stereophonics (Bartender and the Thief), Muse (The Small Print).

Snow Patrol and Muse are awesome bands. What's the name of that supergroup which has a member of Snow Patrol in it?

My favorite band is Kyuss, and it's spin-off bands (Unida, Slo Burn, Hermano, etc.), but I also like old Big Band music...that old stuff is great!

Others I like are: Sepultura, Soulfly, Fear Factory, Danzig, Misfits, Faith No More, Nirvana, Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Iced Earth, Weezer, Soundgarden...lots of stuff.

I also like the old classics, like Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Doors, Stones, Beatles, and Elvis.
