Well, Saw 2 is opening this Friday in the U.S.(not sure about other countries), and personally, I can't wait..I loved the original. This one is supposed to be very bloody, too. Any Saw fans here?

Never've seen the original(*quickly dodges pun*), but hopefully my girlfriend won't be doing anything on Friday. I know she wants to see it.

I'll admit I never saw the original as well, but with Halloween coming up it's probably the perfect movie for me to see with some friends.

Even though movies in this genre always seem weak to me, I'm willing to expand my horizons from time to time.

Edit: I've only seen previews of them, what was the first one about exactly?

Saw 2 had a budget of $4 million. Which is about... $3 million more than the original.

I still haven't seen it. I don't really see the point of horror movies. You see a movie to laugh, or go "holy crap! that explosion was awesome!". Not to shit your pants.

i was actually disapointed by the original (even though it was pretty good). i think saw 2 will suck pretty bad though...

You cant really make a sequel to it IMO, it's all been seen in the first movie so it won't feel like anything new. I did like SAW though.

I don't know first hand, but here's what the plot is basically about

This guy captures people, and then chains them by the leg to some jail cell or some room. He leaves a saw next to them. So they have the choice of sawing off their own leg, or dying in that room. However, some kind of moral judgement decision making can get them out of the room somehow blah blah, no idea what that's about.

Basically, would you rather die or saw off your own legs.

Which reminds me of that guy who went mountain climbing, got his arm stuck in a crack, and sawed his arm off with a blunt knife after 2-3 days of starvation. He survived.

I'd probably hang around for a couple days playing tic-tac-toe with myself, and if it looked like I wasn't going to have any choice, then yeah, I'd cut off my own leg and get some police to storm the place.

He had to leave fingerprints somewhere, right? :o

Perhaps I'll sue him and get a metal leg.

That's exactly what I was just thinking. Hopefully it will at least be better than Speed 2. That was the most disappointing sequel I've ever seen.

I hate Horror Movies. Not because I shit my self at them, just because I generally don't enjoy watching them.

Now, comedies I enjoy. War films, I enjoy. (War films seem scarier to me than the "horror" films because I know that the stuff I see in war films are close to reality)

I agree with Dave here.

Yeah, horror movies have to have something really special to be worth watching, but I wouldn't really call something like 28 days later (rocks) a horror movie, more like an action/adventure type thing. Otherwise, movies that use cheap tricks to scare you really aren't my thing either.

like anything i spose, it depends on ur tastes. I for one love watchin movies that get the adrenaline pumping, stuffthat has 'cheap' scares and the likes. Fear can be fun, specially when u know ur not in any immediate danger hehe

I thought the movie was pretty good but nothing amazing.
