View Full Version : New to Project Reality

Evening :)

I just downloaded the 0.61 Client (Full) Version of Project Reality, I installed BF2, then BF2:SF, the 1.41 Patch, and then finally PR itself. So I've got it onto the correct up-to-date version and everything, thing is I can't see many servers. Any ideas? I played Forgotten Hope 2 the other day and it had loads of servers.

If anyone plays PR and has Xfire or something, you can add me if you want - stu548

Yeah I've messed about with those, 'same mod' etc but it doesn't really come up with anything :confused:

Really? I would check "same mod", "same version" etc... And leave "populated" unchecked and "full" checked as well. It might turn up with a bunch of empty/full servers.

I have, it's that FH2 is out now.

PR will get back in style with v0.7

Yep, I reinstalled PR after I installed FH2 and it's just not too fun right now. It used to be but FH2 is plenty for me right now. Once 0.7 is released, I'll install it again seeing as it'll living the community up a bit more.

Supposedly sometime this year. They say v0.8 will be early next year.

PR seemed to lose alot of its tactical value now that nearly all rifles have scopes, you can kill targets much further away and the its just to dam easy to die, i missed the old version how you have to lay down smoke to cap an objective, now you can pritty much just shoot them down too easy.

Pr .7 is out now. It adds 2 new maps and tweaks the game to make it more tactical, no more mobile spawn points (rally points, base and commander assets only). Also the commander assets are free now and the US got the M16A4 with sights. Ohh and importantly they somehow got laser designated bombs to work now (officer spots with SOCAM and plane drops).

PR in my opinion is a fantastic mod with a dedicated fanbase. FH2 wouldn't appeal to alot of the key players.

PR is the only game I play, and I must say that v.7 is a great release.

However its not that appealing to me much anymore. I started at their v.3 release.

But hey they want to take the fun out and turn the mod into a simulation its their bag....

I still of course will play regardless :D
