I've just realised, that there are a HEAP of people from Australia on these forums. Never knew how many!
I'm from Australia, Melbourne to be specific.
I'm about 3km from the set of Neighbours. Which I am yet to vandalize.

Oh boy is this thread ever gonna get deleted.... where's Ireland huh? Oh yeah we are part of europe.... but being the only Island left in the EU (does iceland count i didnt think they were in yet)

and the reason the the uk is no longer an island? They have a link from mainland UK to Mainland France, hence no longer an island.
Ireland is with Turkey, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, and those other bazillion countries in Europe that I didn't think of at the time of thread creation.

Well, to be honest, I thought of Ireland. I just wanted to see your reaction when I left it out. :p

I dont excatly know why it is called gods country i guess it may be becuase of some of the landscapes. We have spent the last thousand odd years keeping them and othere invaders out :p, and not just the English but the Vikings the Romans and even they eventually left us in peace :).

ps i dont dislike English ppl and i dont want to start a flame war just having a laugh.

Yes it is, it maybe be made of of 4 smaller countries but the Union Jack is still the flag shown on maps and so it is a country. The English,Scottish,Welsch and Northand Ireland flags arenot shown on maps of the world as far as I know.
Or if you are saying that Britain is not a country because it is the so-called 51st state, get lost.

its welsh lol, im in England and its a country, i dont see how a country can fit into another country with lots of other countrys to make one big one called the United Kingdom, if anything its a Kindom thats United ! Otherwise the Falklands would be part of the UK and a few years ago so would India and the rest of the commonwelth/ Brtish empire

It's true that in things such as sport England and Scotland etc are individually represented and of course are separate countries with their own administration. However, England, Scotland and Wales are not individually represented in the EU, but are represented by the UK.
So the UK is considered as a separate country as far as international matters/politics are concerned.

Of course you can go on for ever concerning each country's local administration ;)
