This has TOTALLY got me psyched! When I was first introduced to WH40k with the Dawn of War games, I fell in love with them (although I haven't gone as far as buying figurines... yet).

This game has the potential to be a MAJOR money-mover, and a definite fan-pleaser. FOR THE KHAN, FOR THE EMPEROR!:p

Great... one Warhammer MMORPG and one Warhammer 40k MMORPG... a thats a painfull decision...

I came in contact with Warhammer long ago with WH40k Chaos Gate (a round based tactic game... similar to Jagged Alliance)... was one of my first games... didn't understand a word and didn't know how to play but I loved it anyway :D

Until now I especially love to read Warhammer novels... started with Warhammer 40k series and moved on to classic Warhammer...

This is just great... but I fear I'll don't have time to play a MMORPG while studying... its a pitty...

Awesome!!! I started playing wh40k About 3 years ago..for the last couple months i have stopped.....i have been praying for a game like this to come out ever since i started though.

Cant wait, and they are allready in development!

Yeah but something this good can always take a nose dive. I'm just not sure if they can reacreate the epic settings and the astounding storylines/backstory

It's NOT a MMORPG. It's a MMOFPS.

I doubt that it'll be an MMORTS, since Relic has that covered.
My guess (hope) is that it'll be an MMOFPS

Well, if you played all the way through the Dark Crusade (Dawn of War X-pack) campaign, the camera zoomed out from the planet you fought over, and then zoomed in on an intergalactic battle around another planet with
"2007" showing up on-screen. Hmm...

I believe this is a reference to the next DOW Game thats designed to be much more like the Total War series but with added aspects of Warhammer 40k: Battlefleet Gothic (a space based version of the tabletop game but with ships instead). Based in the full solar system.

Yeah, we need another good mmofps. Planetside was fun while it lasted, but this would be awesome.

There's A LOT of fluff in the Warhammer universe, so it's perfect RPG material. I would hate to see this turning into an RPG, though. MMORPGs tend to draw lots of illiterate and stupid people in. Gameplay gets really old, really fast, and often quickly descend into grinding.

Well, maybe they could turn it into something like STALKER (RPG-FPS hybrid) with some serious squad- and clan- support added in. I mean, I cannot WAIT to be part of the Blood Angels, charging an Ork position with some 1st company (super-bad-ass) vets, blasting away with my heavy bolter and then cracking some skulls with my PowerFist.
