Revolution's Controller Revealed (http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-15143-2567-4-6-x)
Before clicking on that link, you must remember not to just look at the pictures of the controller, please read the article. I will know from your comments whether you did read it or not.
Take this into consideration aswell, Nintendo look to give people a change from normal gameplay seen in other consoles. They want new ideas, not rehashes of older ones. Lets face it, most ideas in the games industry came from Nintendo.
As for my comments, at first I was rather shocked by the images, but as I read, it became clear that this controller is going to be something new and great in games consoles. I am very excited about how this will influence games for the Revolution, creating so much more possibilities than the X-Box 360 or Playstation 3 will provide, gameplay wise. Imagine an FPS where to aim your gun, you point at the screen using the controller? In fighting games, imagine swinging your controller to throw a punch or swing a sword? So, before criticising the shape of the controller, think about what it could do.

It's looks ike a cool new way of playing, but I think I might just stick to standard controllers, but I might not get a console anyway. This could be the new future for console controllers, but i'll stick with a PC. :)

I'm extremely interested in this because its completely random. its not what everyone was expected yet works better than what everyone did expect. this could hold new functionality for old games aswell as new considering as far as im aware the NR has full back compatibilty
I Think im now inlove with my first console.
I give it the thumbs up

I don't think even with the tilt feature, it's going to do anything, except to kill the REV even more.

I disagree. I hate seeing new consoles arrive with "Generic Controller 4" and their only promise they make is that the graphics will be far superior to their last console. Whats the point in buying that? I want a new way to play games. Im not spending money on a PS3 or X-Box360 to play the same games as before, on the same controllers, but they look a little nicer. And, considering the Revolution as always, will be the cheapest gaming solution as well as being the most revolutionary ( :D ) I can safely say it will be getting my vote.

Consolegamers wordwide are used to a universal design of controllers. These are not just controllers. Some of these controllers have undergone years of evaluation and improvement.
I also do not think this controller was ever created to play FirstPerson Shooters or games like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Dinocrisis etc. If you look at the demogames the controller was tested on... Well, let's say those are games I would never touch. Not untill I'm over 50 years anyway. ;)
Call me a retromaniac or conservative, but I'd stick with the old ones for now. :)

i think it might be better
The part about Metroid Prime 2 sounded pretty cool
Who wants a controller thats the same
This will change games for the revolution
I think its gonna be totally cool
Ofcourse its gonna be hard to get used to compared to other controllers
But I think its wicked
Like Iwata said tho it might make ppl who dont like video games or are uncomfortable with them a little more likely to pick up the controller that looks like a remote
It may help top the problems that have happened recently caused by ppl in powerful positions and even ppl who arent who have been causing problems in for the gaming industry
