Let's play Freelancer

Anyone here play Freelancer at all? Its a pretty good space game with both SP and MP. Its basically an RPG, and the playing space is unbelievably huge.

The MP is probably where the game shines, though. The SP has a good storyline, but the MP is very immersive with all the different players. The best part is as the name suggests; you are a complete Freelancer. Therefore, you can do what you like. If you like, you can carry out missions to earn a few credits. Alternatively you can become a pirate and attack cargo ships. How about becoming an honest merchant? Or a smuggler?

I haven't played it in a while, but this game has lots of potential. If anyone else has it, perhaps we should meet up on one server? The game caters well for groups of players who want to stick together (group chat and group formation, for example).

I play it, with the TNG mode online. Haven't been able to play it in aw hile though, but its still installed.

Dude! My friend just gave me his CD for it, and I started playing online MP with the recommended Discovery mod. I'm kind of addicted.

I bought mine on Amazon. They still have a few i believe.



And I believe the serer I used to play on has shut down. I went on yesterday and couldnt find it so *shrugs*


Haven't played another server yet, I'll try to find one though.

I'll also dl the discovery mod, I heard its good too.

I basically only play on the Discovery 24hr server or something of that name. It's a 45-player server, and it usually has a decent amount of people in it. My name is Nanook in the server, and you'll probably see me floating about in my Rheinland Cruiser, allied with the Rheinland Military Forces for my ID.

It's rather fun to be around the Rheinland system when there is heavy trade traffic, which leads to some bad, bad piracy and using the good ol' cargo scanning to tell pirates to drop their contraband.
