Wait till March-June to go DX10
Vista will be ready, ATI r600 will be out, 8800 drivers will be perfected/very good, and actual DX10 games will be out.

NEVER buy the newest of the newest. The newest and esspecially here first new series always have failures. Companies dont have enough time to fix all the problems before release. You'd wish you had hold your old card...

I'll clarify I am not getting one right now I am just merely stating they are out. I'd be a complete an utter idiot to get one right now without an O/S to support it. The only people with Vista right now are the manufacturers and thats why the cards out ;). I forgot who said i should wait around march but thats what im gonna do :). I am just stating for you all that if you want to know what the heck the thing is go read it at nvidia they have all the specs and yes they are quite expensive but if you have the money who cares ! :)

Oh yes and the PS3 is 600 dollars ok then you add in the games 50 bucks a pop plus controllers :P. I wouldn't by a lame console anyway cause you have to buy that and by the time it comes out there aren't many games out for it so you are stuck with a few maybe good games but mostly crap. Anyway just my opinion don't take offense its all gravy :D

Well considering either the PS3 and all the stuff that goes with it might be cheaper than me getting almost an entire system upgrade to be even with the 8000's. I probably need a new motherboard, processor, ram, psu, etc.. Right now i have only enough juice to run BF2 on medium settings with no filtering.

Uhm ladies i hate to point out the flaw in the bitching because just look at this:
- 10 Year Warranty Direct with EVGA on 0049 8918904911 (TOLL FREE)
- 90 Day Step-up/upgrade programme from day of purchase (Upgrade your card and only pay the difference direct with EVGA)
- 24/7 Email Support at support-eu@evga.com
- All RMA's & Upgrades are dealt with between EVGA Direct and the Consumer on 0049 8918904911
And thats actually from one of the new cards i think thats brilliant personally

If you have a PCI express slot thats all it takes dude and a fairly good chip like a 64 bit chip dual core or not and like 2 GB of RAm you should have no problems so a whole lot of upgrading is not involved. Yes and hells angel has good point cause I Have an eVGA card and its great :).

still its not worth the price...
and it confirms you are gonna have problems because its an all new model. They want people to buy it so they can see wich failures will accure. You'll be their own testrat :D

Just save it. Wait for some time. Live with the fact that you may not have the greatest system known to man. It's worth saving some money for a few months. Heck, if you're planning on saving it for a long enough amount of time, you may as well put it in the bank and get a little interest.
