Does anyone have books by this guy? He was a Captain in the British Army in WW1, followed this up as a military historian and theroist.
I have only read one book which was remotely by him and that was the Rommel Papers which he edited.
So has anyone read any of the following books and if possible could they review them please?
From amazon reviews, people have stated they are excellent and well worth reading.
History of the Second World War
ISBN: 0306809125
The Other Side of the Hill: Germany's Generals, Their Rise and Fall, with Their Own Account of Military Events, 1939-45
ISBN: 0333602145 or 0330373242
Strategy: The indirect approach
ISBN: 0452010713
finally:
Lost Victories: The War Memoirs of Hitler's Most Brilliant General
ISBN: 0760320543
This guy is a genius, none other then Field Marshal Erich von Manstein but again edited by Liddell Hart.
I have read that this book can be very boring in places, does anyone know if there is any truth to that?
