While I don't want to come off as rude, I just have to say something: So what?

Not every soldier is going to have the same uniform with the same insignia and all those bells and whistles. Things happen in the field and in combat. Stuff falls off, uniforms get ripped, patches get dirty, threads are pulled out. In a combat zone, I'm sure that having all their insignas sewn/clipped on properly isn't very high on a soldier's "Things to do list".
Soldiers have more important things to worry about.

I can't wait until DoD: Source is released. DoD was an immense online game, and I am sure this could actually top it.

The models weren't really meant to change, since the DEVteam said it would be a straight port. I think this model looks just right and since I don't own an alienware pc, I like it just the way it is: lowpoly. :)

Well it really isn't that low-poly...
Just take a look at his pockets, collar and sleeves, they all have detailed depth.

Ok, they aren't as high-poly as vanilla HL2 models but this works for me I think.
By the way, standard Panzergrenadier tr?ppe mostly took their insignia off, etc they thought it could spare weight and make them more flexible.
But Fallschirmj?gers often were disciplined about that, they mostly wore all the stuff on, including edelwei? if they had any...

the soldiers uniforms need to be more war torn, maybe abit of mud around the boats. more dirty. other than that the model looks nice.

When Iron Sights popped up I jumped in joy, aswell as the addition of rifle grenades and smoke grenades. If DoD:S was a carbon copy of DoD with better graphics, im sorry, but I wouldn't pay for it. However, it seems we are getting some cracking new features to play around with.

NOTE: Crosshairs still exist in-game, it is just that the HUD was disabled for the movie. How accurate crosshairs in comparison to Iron Sights aren't known, we will have to wait and see, this change might even force Kar Whores to find a new job. ( :D Damn, thats me)

The big guy is Gabe Newell, the head of Valve software ;) The rest of the interview can be seen somewhere at the steampowered forums, can't remember anymore. That's all of the game footage for teh moment tho, the interview has stuff about HL2 Xbox and stuff.
