Straight from the horses mouth:
As it stands now due to recent circumstances we are not in a position to put effort into the mods. We may revist them at a later date when development has calmed down, but for the time being we just simply have to get on with the job at hand and ensure that the game is not delayed too much.
There is no more HL2 mod, until we get back on track 100%.

If anyone is willing to form a mod team to specifically handle 1944, we would be more than happy to allow you to adopt the mods, and also provide you with all the content, and knowledge we have.
Just at this moment the full game is our priority and will remain so.

Well that's the hope, don't feel we are just abandoning the mods without reason. This was forced upon us, due to the actions of a middleware provider... they didn't live up to their end of the bargain and thus we have been forced to put all our man power behind the full game to ensure that the game does not suffer any more delays.
In the long run it is better that we get away from this middleware provider as their lack lustre performance has really stunted the performance and development cycle of the full game. It was an up hill struggle getting certain things to work.
But as you can imagine redoing a piece of middleware because you have pulled it out will always have a negative impact and result in delays to some degree.
