anyone heard or played this game before? it's a puzzel horror game. i downloaded it and i was really amazed at how good it was for student work. great graphics, and motion blur makes it look so real. it's also the scariest game i think ive ever played.

Is it combat at all? Or is it just puzzle? It looks cool, I don't want to download something that I don't like. Is it anything like Silent Hill? Or are you in a room with a few objects that you need to equip, move, use ect.?

well, basically its first person. you need to physiocally interact with your world e.g you determine how fast/slow you open a door and by how much. u can pick up just about everything and move it anywhere. it's a bit like silent hill, but first person i guess. as for combat, you are basically armed with a torch, glow stick and a few stick of tnt. when i say puzzles i mean, you have to figure out how to get through this underground complex, by means of solving problems and obtaining certain items. if for nothing else, download the game to check the amazing graphics, and to understand just what an independent game can be. it makes me excited for 1944 because i can see how games arent just made by large production companies.

i just read a quick little snippit about that game in Computer Gaming World. it looked really cool, i'm gonna have to try it sometime.

i wouldnt really call it a new game, its graphics are good, but i think its the lighting and shadows that make it look as good as it is, i had a go of it last night, and though i didnt get very far i was scared shitless cause i just knew as soon as i played it like an arcade game something would jump out at me :P

yer, it seriously scares the poop out of you. i was determined to finnish it, so i stayed up till about 1am..... big mistake.
basically, its scarier than FEAR, plus you dont get a gun.
why not try it, its free and roughly 150mbs. it was well worth it for me.:)

ive played it. its alright nothing special though. but considering its free and made by students, you have to hand it to them.
