No! But u need a veeeery good PC to set the settings on very high....
The AI is cool, the grafic is uber and the gameplay and the horror is also good....
Im playing the MP Beta right now and the SP demo is great!3-4 Shock moments...

Yeah its kinda heavy to run, I got it set at 1024x768 with medium details etc and I get 40fps barely. Airforce, is the MP eta any good?
oh yeah and Soap, it does look about 300 times better than HL2. :cool: :)

It looks real pwrdy, even on a low end cpu. this game was meant to be real scary and fun, its not really either. not scary at all, even pitch black at midnight with 5.1 sound. its kinda fun, but the game seems real short. multiplayer is fun, but i could see it getting old real fast.

P.S. STALKER WILL PWN U ALL. if it ever comes out that is... last i saw of it it was like May at russin con '05 or somein.

Stalker itself is scary enough, its a RPG like in Morrowind with 1 huge map (not as big as OFP, VBS1, ArAs or 1944: D-Day but huge!).

It takes place in Chernobyl, Czecho-Slovakia where the 2 reactor cores had a melt-down.

All kinds of mutations appeared and the area was sealed of.
A bunch of mercenaries went in stealthy to steal some artefacts in return for money, clothes and a place to spend a night safetly.
Then the mercenaries started to steal, murder and rob Russians soldiers.

At this moment, the Russian army was alarmed and sent in Spetznaz to find them.
You have to survive and fight of mercenaries and look for artefacts not only for money anymore but for weapons, and gear!

I had the MP Beta of FEAR a while ago. Ran like absolute crap on my PC. Couldn't get a decent FPS even on 800x600 with settings at low.

Ran good with about everything on low, but I'm not that of a 'graphicsfreak', if it looks good and -most of all- plays fine, it's ok. :)

I like the gameplay, it's very arcade and basic, wich I like. The storyline is very good and really took me away. The athmosphere in the levels is good and balanced. The overall leveldesign is good (lightning is very good) and there are several things I really liked about the general effects:
- guns look arcady wich is a plus;
- glass shatters on a cool 'comicy' way, wich really adds to the athmosphere;
- bullettime implementation is a plus;
- the way your enemies move is quite cool (when hit by bullet, when falling to the ground etc.);
- the sound is just fine, I like the weaponsounds too> away with realism! :)
- cool sequences.

The only negative points I can think of right now are:
- placement firesprite pistol not correct (on 640 x 480);
- Havent seen too much of A.I. in the demo (but I don't really mind).

The Multiplayerbeta of FEAR is full of action!
The maps are small and on a 12 men server.... the game is so....boah!I love it!
(Slowmotion is great in MP!
