I own a Mauser 98k. It was made in 1940 and at the end of the war it was used by the Norwegian army. So its not all original, it uses NATO ammo instead of the original 7.92mm.

Here's a picture of my current collection, minus my Mas36, I'm refinishing it at the moment, and I have an m93 Spanish mauser and 04/39 Portugese mauser on the way

I always wanted to get a german mauser 98k rifle, but as no gun licence now it will never happen, and they made that rifle all over the place too.
Like the other countries are just as good right, and you have a enough there for a small army.;)

I really wanted to get a Mauser 98k, but i just ended up throwing the money into the bank. I'm too young to buy one without every school within 50 miles of me having a heart attack.

I think that question was directed at me, so here it goes:
It has all the original stamps on it, however they have also added some stamps to show that it is was Norwegian army equipment. Such as: HÆR 1956 which means ARMY 1956. That was in fact the year the weapon was replaced and put out for sale.

I bought a Kar98 few months ago. However, it is not yet in my position at this moment in time. I am being very trusting as it is currrently at the home of another Frantic Games team member. :p

That's pretty much my entire collection at the moment, and I don't have any license to own them. I have them transferred through a licensed dealer if I'm having it shipped to me. I could get a C&R license, but I just moved and will be moving again shortly so it would be a bigger pain to change my address than to just wait until I move

How much would a Kar98k bayonet go for?

It depends on the condition, manufacturer, scabbard, etc etc
they can be worth quite a bit in some cases

+1
I'd like to get one too, but have been distracted with other things. Hopefully, I'll get my hands on one at some point...

Very true, presentation bayonets can fetch upwards of £150 in the UK. Your average UK price is between £65-70 for a bog standard bayonet, matching numbers can be from £80-120 depending on vendor, production date, grips etc.
Has anyone seen the German K98 mark 44 bayonet? Ive only ever seen it in a uniforms and equipment presentation book. I bet one of those is worth a pretty penny.
Tom.

A German World War two SHOTGUN? Errrrm there are shotguns around from that period, but none that were in German service.
