Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter. Good??

Im thinking of buying GRAW for PC when it comes out. I liked SWAT4 and Brothers in Arms.
Just wondering if its the same sorta idea.
Is it anygood? Worth Buying?

well its not out yet, but just look at the videos and it looks damn good. go to gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/tomclancysghostrecon3/index.html?q=ghost) to see some stuff on it.
and i will definitely be buying it

Try the demo, it's coming out this week! Not sure what day, but UBi France confirmed it would be this week.

As for multiplayer, it will only ship with COOP. Other multiplayer modes will be delivered in patches, but I don't remember which ones.

I have it on 360 and if its anything like the one on 360 (which I hear its not) then I wont be getting it. On the 360 version there is not enough maps, not enough weapons, Hard to play with friends, and theres no enemy its just like one big deatmatch.

Anyways as far as the PC version goes I will be getting the demo first. I still like the Ghost Recon series though, I just hope the PC version is good

I will try out the demo first. I cant believe they are not shipping with mutiplayer, that is really weird. I read that the pc version is supposed to be more indepth that 360. much bigger maps, better physics, better gun load outs (dont thinks more guns, just more options), and more difficult game play.

I guess ill have to wait and see. hard to make a decision without multiplayer in the demo...:confused:

I think the demo will have multiplayer, and the full version definitely will, but ONLY Coop. Hopefully it won't be long before the patch that adds other mutliplayer gametypes.

Dark what is your download speed, I tried to DL at fileshack but was getting around 50 k/b and it was going to take 3 hours!!! I have a cable connection so that cant be right, usualy I dl at 200 K/B + from them, Im looking for somewhere else to DL

ya the internet is suky right now. everything is going slow...im getting around 100 on the ubi right now. buts it still gonna take a while.

Just finished playing it. I like it a lot. The gameplay is realistic tactical! It takes time to get used to controls

Takes much time to get used to the controls. . .you are gonna wanna get used to unsteady aiming too.

Running and sliding into crouch is cool. . .then running and diving into prone is cooler :)

Minimum specs are HARSH so be prepared.

The game on the 360 is O-K. I expected different things from it. I mean seeing videos of it being first person, and seeing you can see your gun. Than I played the 360 version and you can't see your gun at all.

I don't know if there is a setting for that or not, or if the videos were for the PC. Don't know, either way it is a fun game. It keeps the ghost recon feel, I think it's worth it.

meh its not that great. i dont know why you even need a team. I think swat4 is far superior. ill give it another go though.

i tryed out the demo and i have to say it's very boring. in the demo mission there is no possibility to enter buildings and if you leave the mission area the game will be aborted.
your ai comrades act very smart most of the time and they are very skilled marksmen. they could finish the mission on their own. The enemy uses cover but there was no sign of an tactical ai.

an example:
i tried to leave the landing zone on the left side but there were a lot of enemys hiding behind cars they spotet my team and opened fire, so i decided to use another route. 5 minutes later i arrived behind the position where the enemys have opened their fire, and surprise: they were still there and my sniper could shoot them like sitting ducks. one bad guy noticed that his friend next to him got killed and tried to hide at the other side of the car but my sniper was faster.
i enjoyed the weapon selection and the tactical sattelite map where you can spot enemys in realtime and build command chanes for your commrades but the tactical possibilities are very limited. it is very arcadish and it seems to me, that they developed the game in first case for the x-box360-players.

I installed it, but i only have 512mb of ram, and i think the min rec. is like 1024mb. But I played it and it was a little choppy. But some of the textures were all messed up. Especially the light post. Its like they applied the material and didn't unwrap it or anything. Thats just for my pc though i think. But my iron sight were very wierd. it wasnt in a smooth breathing motion, it was a jerking motion, that seemed like it was in a loop. It might just be my ram, but I uninstalled it. I might try it again when i get more RAM. I think the first GR and the 2nd ones were the best.
